REZ- Energy Centre of the University of Reutlingen

The setting up of the new energy centre REZ was announced during the course of a press conference on 20th May, 2014 by Karl Schlecht, the CEO of the Karl Schlecht Foundation and Professor Dr. Hendrik Brumme, President of the Reutlingen University. The co-operation was signed and sealed at the same time. With one million Euro over five years, the foundation supports the new research and professorship all centred around the “Decentralised Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency” which has been set up at Reutlingen University. The joint goal of both parties is to gain expertise in energy and energy efficiency in a Masters Degree and to carry out research close to the field of energy matters. Here in the field of energy efficiency  the REZ at Reutlingen University is to collaborate in future with the Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production (EEP) at the University of Stuttgart, an institute also initiated and sponsored  by the KSG foundation.
